I have been treating clients with Acupuncture since 2011. So, what is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture, originates from the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and dates back to approximately 3000 years. It is an incredibly diverse and extensive form of treatment. Western Acupuncture stems from TCM Acupuncture. The area of focus in my career has been primarily on the musculoskeletal element of acupuncture. Areas covered include Arthritis; Carpal tunnel syndrome; Neck pain; Back pain; Headaches/ Migraines and stress.
The practice of Acupuncture is through using fine needles to penetrate the skin and help activate “Qi” (Energy flow) in the area with or without gentle movements.
Many clients have expressed fear of Acupuncture due to previous experience or believing it has to be painful to be effective. This is not true, Acupuncture does not have to be painful to cause relief.
Through my treatments and experience over the years I have seen many benefits with Acupuncture:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome can be settled down with 4-6 sessions
- Migraines are also settled in the majority of clients within 4-6 sessions.
- People can sleep incredibly well after an Acupuncture session if under a lot of stress.
- Arthritis can be very debilitating, although one session of Acupuncture treatment can give relief for weeks / months at a time.
