Reiki
Reiki is a Complimentary therapy using a gentle hands-on technique, originating from Japan. The word Reiki can be translated to "Universal Life Force Energy". Reiki flows through the practitioner, as the receiver draws energy to those parts of their body that require it, in amounts that they can cope with.
It is regarded as a therapy with a holistic approach to balancing the energies of the body, mind and spirit. It was started by a Buddhist monk called Dr Mikao Usui.
The impact of negativity and stress on our bodies is well documented in the Western World. Reiki works as a life force energy through chakras and meridians. It can be likened to a non invasive form of acupuncture, unblocking the chakras and meridians. Allowing in positive energy and raising the vibratory level of the whole body. This aids in the ability of the body to work on itself, by cleaning the chakras and realigning the meridians.
Acupuncture
I have been treating clients with Acupuncture since 2011. Acupuncture originates from the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and dates back to approximately 3000 years. It is an incredibly diverse and extensive form of treatment.
The practice of acupuncture is through using fine needles to penetrate the skin and help activate “Qi” (energy flow) in the area with or without gentle movements. Acupuncture does not have to be painful to cause relief. Western acupuncture stems from TCM acupuncture. The area of focus in my career has been primarily on its musculoskeletal element.
Through my treatments and experience over the years I have seen many benefits of acupuncture:
- Carpal tunnel syndrome can be settled down with 4-6 sessions
- Migraines are also settled in the majority of clients within 4-6 sessions.
- People can sleep incredibly well after an acupuncture session if under a lot of stress.
- Arthritis can be very debilitating, although one session of acupuncture treatment can give relief for weeks / months at a time.
